i can’t believe it is the last week of school!  where did the time go?  i would like to thank you for a wonderful, supportive year-one in which i saw your children grow both academically and emotionally.  over the year, the students proved time and again their thirst for learning and their determination to do their best.  not only did they work hard, but they also showed kindness and respect towards their i would also like to thank the parents-kim burt, valana casford, and krista potter- who volunteered their time to chaperone 3a students at shining waters.  it was very much appreciated and because of you, the students had a fabulous day! return them to school.  the library books have a white sticker on the spine with the school number-356-along with some other numbers which identify the book.  i am typing this message at home and the list of missing books is at school so i am not able to give you title names.  i do remember there were a number of “i survived….” and “who is….” books on the list. if you find some school books over the school! i think we are doing just about everything possible-extra recess, picnic snack and lunchtime, board and electronic games, wearing pajamas and watching a movie!!  so, if possible, have your child bring in a quiet board game, and if they have your approval, an electronic device.  some students have indicated they could bring in an appropriate movie for school. thanks so much for your support with our field trip to shining waters will be on friday, june 15th (rain date june 18). if you are chaperoning, please wait for our clas* to arrive in front of the gates and we will walk in together and find a spot for our lunches, kit bags, and other supplies. we should arrive by 9:30-9:45 am as in previous years. the students are required to stay in their groups and follow your schedule with a meeting time. the buses.  if any students are staying with a parent afterward, they will require a note. please have your child pack for the weather: hat, sunscreen, water, bathing suit, towel (plastic bag to put wet things into), jacket etc.
