taylor jungman wins 2011 di*k howser trophy and named big 12 conference male athlete. wings baseball was formed in 1999 to operate a first clas* program for worthy youth in austin and central texas.  through its program, wings baseball offers young men the opportunity to be instructed and compete in an advanced, positive environment that promotes good choices, constructive life skills, academic success and community leadership.  open to players regardless of race or economic background, the program the wings are well known and respected locally, statewide and nationally.  as a member of the american premier baseball as*ociation series in 2000, a triple crown 15u national championship in 2005, a premier junior national championship in 2006,  second place finishes in the sophomore and freshmen premier national championships in 2006, and a premier junior national championship in 2008.  in addition, many teams have completed summer play in the top ten of their respective age groups. while this is a goal for all players and the program, the number one priority is the development and maturation of these young men during wings baseball is committed to the following: -to provide a competitive and positive environment. -to get the best possible education and experience so that their goals can be reached. -to develop the skills that will make the athletes more attractive to college and professional representatives. -to develop lifelong friends in an atmosphere of cordiality and purpose, both on and off the field. participant qualities: -willingness to take coaching and to study all aspects of the game. -a spirit of competition. -an intense desire to accept nothing less than the best effort the athlete is capable of giving. -willingness to take responsibility and take an active part in team leadership and unity. -willingness to be accountable for your behavior. -willingness to make sacrifices for the team. -a desire to improve both on and off the field.
