The purpose of the Beer Judge Certification Program is to: We certify and rank beer judges through an examination and monitoring process, sanction competitions, and provide educational resources for The BJCP was founded in 1985 and has administered the Beer Judge Examination to 12,010 individuals worldwide. 7,797 are currently active judges in the program, with 899 holding the rank of National or higher. Since we started keeping detailed records, our members have judged over 1,548,191 beers and we have sanctioned over 9,196 competitions. For the current year, 181 exams have been registered. Exams have been given to 1,083 examinees. Organizers have registered 822 competitions. The BJCP website migration is currently in progress, as many of you have no doubt noticed. We are posting new content on the new website first, and are migrating our legacy content right now. This is not a simple moving of files; all docu*ents and data are being reviewed and refreshed as they are moved. New content is also being added.
