Shot for $2000 by “James Dillinger” aka James Robert Baker, a playwright-novelist-anarchist who was once described as “the world’s angriest man,” BLONDE DEATH is a major triumph in the shot-on-video universe. This movie wages war on suburban America, attacking the concepts of family and love with murderous wit. BLONDE DEATH draws possible dismissive comparisons to early John Waters, but it’s as strong as Waters’ best. At the age of 51, Baker chose to end his life via carbon monoxide poisoning in his garage (exactly how two of his lead characters perish in BLONDE DEATH). This was his supreme bird-flip to the world. Though we wish he could be alive to experience this praise of his work, the brilliant and overlooked James Robert Baker -- to his credit -- wouldn’t care. Produced by legendary Los Angeles underground art collective EZTV, BLONDE DEATH was heavily bootlegged, but never released widely on home video. BLEEDING SKULL! So begins a three-part, shot-on-video horror anthology from 1993, which by all appearances is a period piece that takes place in 1985. Drunk dads play darts, blaring ponytail rock drowns out middle-aged profanities. This is followed by demonic possession, bathtub , wide-scale slaughter and a man fighting medieval dwarves in a field outside of Baltimore. Shot in Baltimore by filmmaker Doug Ullrich, SCARY TALES was never released legitimately on home video. BLEEDING SKULL! VIDEO’s release has been meti usly pieced together from the original S-VHS master tapes, making it the best looking-and-sounding version of SCARY TALES that has ever been available.

Anne Wellington (Harmon), a psychic police officer, is the sister of LADY STREET FIGHTER's Linda Wellington (Harmon). Anne is trying to find Linda’s killer while eluding axe murderers, occultists, the FBI, and an incriminating c ette tape. If the plot sounds semi-lucid, don't worry -- the execution bears no resemblance to a reality that scientists, therapists, or archeologists are aware of. Actors age ten years between scenes. Brawls begin in apartments, but end in a warehouses. A stuffed appears on the chest of a corpse for no good reason. Ambitious, nightmarish, and impossible to comprehend, RUN COYOTE RUN rallies for both determination and madness, but never chooses sides.
