i havent have an entry for awhile even if i should have. currently im now 7months in my current job as a NICU nurse in the US. Night shift isnt as bad except for when the shifts were all so close together. so many things have happened as well. I felt even if I am 7 months now, I am still learning. this month too, we have 3 new nurses added to the team plus 1 more coming next month. I pray it will help me with my scheduling once they all start to work as new nurses in the unit. Last Aug 17, I went for an interview at a Laser Hair Removal clinic. I had been given the opportunity before at a clinic specializing the same industry last Oct 2017 but sadly it closed down Feb 2018. I had very little sleep then due to my schedule at work made 2 nights 1 off and 3 nights. but somehow my interview fell on that off day. I am so worried prior to the interview and researched what I can on possible questions. I even brought my portfolio. Reaching the place, they didnt even get the portfolio. and the interview wasnt as scary as i expected like that of a hospital interview. then i left it to God if its meant for me to get an extra job as they say this is just the first phase today Aug 20, I received their email telling me they want me to be a part of their team and  I am so happy ! Since March, I have been looking for a part time job because my unit usually cancels or flexes nurses. Cancel meaning sometimes even if you are scheduled to work, but census is low? 2hrs prior you will get a call you wont come to work so you dont get paid. Flex means you do come to work but that day you work , theres a discharge and census dropped. or there are no new admissions. you will be asked to go home. you work shortened hours for having a 2nd job even if its just part time and 5 hrs only will help because then if you get cancelled , it isnt as bad as you have another income source. but salary wise aside, i have always really wanted to work in aesthetics clinic ever since i learned that US has this job
