My name is Brian Veitch. I'm a math instructor at Northern Illinois University, director of the mathematics as*istance center, and a web I've been teaching math at NIU since 2007. Courses I've taught include: calculus 1 and 2, business calculus, finite mathematics, trig, college algebra, core compentency in mathematics, and beginning algebra. The content of my website is split up by course. There are tabs for business calc, calculus I, and calculus II. I post all my LECTURE I'm what I call a binge hobbyist. These include reading, playing games, programming games, piano, and running. I'm more consistant in playing games and running than the others. For example, I studied game development using a ja*ascript framework called Phaser for months. My wife and I even ran a week long game camp teaching this framework to high school kids. If you click on the link up top called Web Prog, you can see things I've done with web programming. I love running but last year I was sidelined with a stress fracture. I've only now started up again. When I actually did run, I enjoyed running 5Ks and half marathons with my wife. As a child that grew up in the 80s, Nintendo was a huge part of my childhood. My family was also able to successfully have a weekly board game night. Fast forward 20 or so years and I'm still playing games with my family. I usually play PC games. These include any of the Blizzard games and popular fantasy games. Recently I've been playing Rocket League. If you don't know what that is, it's like playing soccer with remote control cars. I love board games. Some of the games my wife and I play are: Carcas*onne, Settlers of Catan, Pandemic, Forbidden Island, and Ticket to Ride.
