i can hardly stand it but two more shifts. that’s what i have to get through and then i only have to work a total of four days in the next i had two floating holidays left out of three for the year and they don’t roll over to next year so i am taking christmas and new years eve off, with pay. i already get christmas and new years day off paid and working 4-10’s means that i will be off from friday until i didn’t even bother dipping into my personal time off so that is continuing it’s upward trajectory, just the way i like it. last year i bumped up against the 120 hour maximum that i can accrue and had to either sell some back at an as* raping tax rate or take there ain’t much going on in february around here, i can tell you that as a fact. i don’t think i will have to worry about that this next year. if it gets to that point i will just take a day off here and there to stay of course, i still have a bunch of christmas shopping to do but the minute christmas is over, it is my time. i have no end of sh*t that needs to get done and hopefully i will have the ambition to tackle some of it and get it the hell off my plate. either way, it’s gonna beat working. posted in uncategorized. apparently, my capacity for self abuse far exceeds the boundaries of sanity. in other words, i am a combination of crazy, fearless and completely fu*king stupid. but first, a little update on the drill press plate project. i would like to extend my very heart felt thanks to the people who not only read what i write but are interested enough to take the time to leave comments. some of you guys are really sharp and offered up some very good suggestions on how to tackle my little conundrum of repairing the huge gouge in the center of the drill press plate. i wound up using the cut to fit toilet paper roll wrapped in wax paper method and it looks like it is going to be plenty good enough of a fix i scoured the shelves at the local wally world looking for some floor wax but there was n’t even a hint of any having ever been there
