It is thanks to the generosity of our entire community Chapin is committed to fostering a sound athletic program as an integral part of the total educational experience. Our teams nurture the development of good sportsmanship, moral integrity and athletic excellence. Chapin is an independent day school, grades Kindergarten through Clas* 12, dedicated to the intellectual and personal growth of young women. Clas* 7 students created posters to teach their clas*mates about photosynthesis.  Upper Schoolers enjoyed a special panel discussion featuring women working in male-dominated fields. Students K-12 left their marks at Chapin during a special beam signing celebration!  A female engineer from Google inspired members of this student-run club.  Kindergarten and Clas* 1 students choreographed dances inspired by their math clas*es.  Students researched life in Victorian England before reading Charlotte Brontës Jane Eyre.  Visiting author Jessie Janowitz shared tips and tricks for writing a compelling story.  In a project inspired by StoryCorps and our theme of the year, students interviewed faculty and staff about their childhoods.  Exploring the world, finding our voices, strengthening community > My college process was extremely gratifying and I will always be > thankful for the ways in which Chapin prepared me.
