She attended SUNY Downstate School of Medicine, where her pas*ion for dermatology began. During her final year of medical school, she was named an Estee Lauder fellow, having worked with the company to study the effects of their products on skin cells. She also received the William Montagna MD award, by the late Dr. Alan Shalita, for Excellence in Dermatological Research. Dr. Ding returned to Stony Brook University for her internship in Internal Medicine, and completed her residency in dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she was chosen to serve as Chief Resident during her final year.
