I was able to attend our Stake RS Workshop in Preston.  I’m so glad I went.  We could choose three clas*es out of six.  One of the outstanding ones I chose was by BRYAN WINWARD.  He stressed the importance of TIME, strongly suggested that we get up early in the morning to read our scriptures – even 4 or 5 oclock.  The amount of time in a day is the same for everyone; use yours wisely. He kept saying, “No guilt”.  Do what you can and how you can.  But don’t just pay ‘8% of your tithing’. Give Him the BEST of the FIRST of your time. 10% is 10% - 1 hour is 1 hour. This is the part that keeps running through my mind: EACH scripture was used in the scriptures for a purpose, an*lyze WHY each scripture in your reading is important to our day. I loved the clas* I attended by COLETTE GEDDES.  Her and her Mom, JO GEDDES.  It was using little ways to preserve our histories.  It was so motivating. Besides keeping a journal and scrapbooking, they said to keep the family picture calendars. Make a simple squares quilt using the fabric from your trek pioneer clothes.
