WEEK OF ČESKÝ NEUROCHIRURGICKÝ SPOLEČNOST ČLS JEPURKYNĚ. Allow me to greet everyone as a new president of the Czech Neurosurgical Society. I would like to thank my two predecessors prof.Suchomel and prof. Sam's for doing a great job for society. Thanks to them we are now also in the field of education with a separate branch with own basic tribe and specialized training. The Committee and its officers actively communicated with institutions important to our existence - the Ministry, the insurance companies, the CLS and other professional companies. Our company is visible internationally. It is gratifying that more and more colleagues build respect at the international level and hold a wide range of positions in European and world neurosurgical organizations. The position of our company is stable and solid at home and abroad. The result of this short an*lysis is all the more binding for me. We need to continue to strengthen our position and not allow the loss of conquered territories. The Committee of the Society and its officers will continue to actively work in all areas relevant to our activities, whether DRG Restart, Accreditation Commission, SOR and cooperation with medical faculties and others. The Committee of the Society will purposefully support international contacts at all levels. The power of society, however, is not only a committee and its activity, but the activity of all its members. I would like to appeal to all members of our society for everyone to contribute to the development of Czech neurosurgery. Young colleagues by their responsive and deliberate approach to their qualification development are older by presenting and publishing their high-quality results not only at home, but also by 2019. By 2019, I would like to wish everyone to have a good health, happiness and success in personal and work life.
