Relationships are difficult and require actual work. Throw mental illness into a relationship, and it can feel like you’re caught in the middle of an uncontrollable hurricane of emotion. Don’t lose hope. Based on my own experience, my mental illness has made dating quite difficult. I’m moody, I overthink, I’m impulsive…the list goes on. When I was first diagnosed with PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety, I found myself in toxic and abusive relationships with partners who didn’t know how to “deal” with me, for lack of a better term. Hell, at the time, I didn’t even know how to deal with me, and I’m constantly learning everyday. But Technology is everywhere. So much so that there are memes and articles floating around the internet discussing how we live in a society where people are constantly looking at their phones. While too much technology can be detrimental to your mental health, using technology in the right way can actually be beneficial.  As you’ve gathered from my previous articles, it’s difficult for me to stay focused. In fact, unless I have a deadline or a task to complete for a boss, I don’t take much initiative in my own life. The self discipline just isn’t there; however, throughout the countless hours I’ve spent online, I have found some really helpful… Winter. It’s the time of year where children shout their “hoorays!” when there’s a snow day, people shop for that perfect gift, and holiday decorations are in full effect everywhere you go. Yet, even though you’re surrounded by joy and the holiday spirit, you just can’t seem to feel the same way. Getting out of bed is difficult, the days are shorter, and you’re just down right miserable. If you’re feeling this way, you’re not alone. I’m not a mental health professional, but they don’t call it SAD for no reason (for those who don’t know, that stands for Seasonal Affective Disorder). This condition is very common in the winter…
