Welcome to Didier's Pictures. You will find here pictures taken during various trips as well as in Switzerland, my home country. It is an area of rugged landscapes, with hills falling directly in the sea. On the hills, terraces were built to allow some agricultural activities. Quite a part of the area is covered with vineyards, but there are also many other trees, including olives, lemon, cherries to The five villages of the region are Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The hiking trails are well maintained but quite steep. Be prepared to climb and descend step after step.. fresh pictures. Spring has arrived, Cherry blossom and bees are busy. It is a beautiful time of the year. I had to take advantage of the beautiful autumn weather we had yesterday and went on a hike in the Entlebuch area. Walking in the moorlands is not easy, but the rewards are well worth it. Stunning views and colorful vegetation have been with us the whole way.
