The course selection process for next school year is right around the corner! Here are the dates for our Incoming Parent Nights: More details about 2013-2014 course selection will be out shortly. Well, that was faster than I had expected.  In 2 minutes, the event was full!  I know that many of you are upset that you can’t attend, however RACC dictates the number of attendees that can participate, and it’s based on the number of admissions officers that are available to help with the event.  Participants are put into small groups and are walked through admissions applications with an officer.  Because of this format, the space has to be limited. This year’s keynote speaker is Mike Robbins, who will talk about “The Power of Appreciation”. Mike Robbins is an author and a sought after keynote speaker. He travels around the country speaking to groups of parents, teachers, students, and business people about the importance of appreciation. A former college and pro baseball player (at Stanford and with the Kansas City Royals), Mike is a Bay According to the latest research in the field of positive psychology, when parents, schools, and communities put more attention on what is working for them and their strengths, instead of focusing on problems and perceived weaknesses, they thrive. Through this program, which is based on the key principles of his book Focus on the Good Stuff, Mike Robbins illustrates exactly how appreciation impacts success, After the keynote presentation, participants will have the opportunity to attend their choice of a morning and an afternoon small group Registration will open in early February 2013.
