advocating responsible stewardship of land and natural resources. advocating for responsible stewardship of land and natural resources in landscaping and horticultural practices. as a friend of ela, you appreciate the value of environmental education and you understand the ways that ecological practices create professionals and the public about ecological choices, but continuously raise the bar for what “ecological” can mean. ela’s events bring together landscape innovators with working practitioners and home gardeners who can put their cutting-edge ideas into action. in recent years, our online programs, our conferences and workshops in new locations, and the information archived on our website have helped us reach an audience that continues to grow in size and influence. to continue advancing our mission of education and advocacy through these initiatives, we look to our members and donors for support. we will put your donation to work as we collaborate with organizations across the country to develop new webinars, articles, and events. we appreciate your continued support of ela and look forward to another year of ecological education. country. topics are wide-ranging and geared to landscape professionals as well as home gardeners. a focus on sustainability  is presented through a collaboration with ela, the chesapeake conservation landscaping council (cclc), rescape california, illinois landscaping and contractors as*ociation, sustainability group (ilca), and the kansas city native plant initiative (kcnpi). ela webinars, both upcoming and archived, are free to ela members and $10 to non-members. in july, ela members voted in a slate of officers for a three-year term. the new officers are toby wolf, president; rie macchiarolo, vice-president; michael opton, treasurer; and angela tanner, secretary. we also welcome two new board members. lauri johnson was accepted for a three-year term with ela’s board of directors and dan jaffe fills
