Send us your email to receive news and announcements about education: The Education Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Culture has undertaken actions aimed at the entire population, to promote access, use, meaningful use and appropriation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Access implies that there is an infrastructure that provides adequate connectivity and that costs are affordable. The use means that the user knows how to use the technology. Meaningful use implies not only the use of the resources offered by ICT, but also making them socially useful, not only being receivers, but also producers of content and technology. Actions in this regard must go beyond the infrastructure and promote access and participation for all, provide training, take into account gender aspects and integrate the use of technologies in the daily work of society. It is proposed to promote the development of capacities that allow access to knowledge through new technological tools (use with a sense of technology). In this sense it is necessary to consider two aspects: first, the basic training on instrumental use and secondly, that which is part of alternative models of education and improvement of it.
