This web site was created by a group of high school teachers at Mountain View High School, in collaboration with Dr. Jack Naglieri, as a way to share, reflect, and collaborate as we continue to implement a series of lessons designed to instruct students as to the importance of executive functioning in the clas*room.  This site is intended to be a place for us, and any visitors to the site, to discuss the importance of executive functioning in the clas*room and the effectiveness of the lessons we have created.  We first implemented these lessons in the fall of 2013.  We are continuing to develop these lessons and are teaching them again in the fall of 2015.  We will be evaluating the effectiveness of the lessons as we go, and we will be using a pre and post as*essment to measure the overall effectiveness of the lessons.  We will be using the Comprehensive Executive Functioning Inventory (CEFI) as a pre and post as*essment, As we present each lesson (see the “EF Skill Lessons” bu*ton to the left) we will be posting our thoughts and reflections.   While visitors are welcome to post any comments or questions, we ask that you not identify any school, clas*, or student.   We are implementing these lessons at the high school level.  Every teacher in the building will be presenting the lessons.  We also have posters in every room to refer to during the 'teachable moments' during the natural course of the clas*room.   All the lessons and materials can be found by clicking the link below.  The links you will find in the EF Skill Lessons tab to the left Please fell free to contact us.  We would be happy to help support anyone interested in using these lessons at their school.    Powered by Create your own unique website with customizable templates.
