I'm just hanging around the website and watching others be cool. sorta related but i dont like that tumblr has made “unhealthy relationship” mean “one person is an abuser and the other is a unhealthy relationship means just that. a relationship that is unhealthy. whether because a party is uninterested, both parties bring just stop using “unhealthy relationship” as if its perfectly synonymous with “abusive relationship” abusive relationships are DEFINITELY unhealthy relationships but not all unhealthy relationships are abusive, ya dig? I am an old sage…listen closely to my wisdom before my soul withers away… you are not an anime character. your actions impact others and do not only exist in theory. nobody is required to stick around for your tragic backstory or to learn the reasons behind your actions. if you treat people like garbage, they are allowed to think of you as a jerk and nothing more. nobody is obligated to an*lyze you or think twice when you hurt them. similarly, you are not required to stick around to listen to other people’s reasons for treating you like trash. you can call them a jerk, cut them out of your life, and call it a day. Every time we take my dogs collar off my mom pets his ears and repeats “you’re nakey!” in a babytalk voice Fairly certain that’s a universal experience for all human dog owners. My dog is told “Would you like to wear your jewelry?” And becomes excited. He then chooses which necklace he’d like. He has a few and they all have to have tags on them. I discovered this because I bought him a second collar and he refused it with a sneeze that usually is his equivalent of “fu*k you”. I asked him why he didn’t like it. He did a dance. I don’t know how I figured it out, but I remember putting the new collar on him and seeing him still beg for the older one and thinking “there’s got to be a reason”. It occurred to be that he might want a little jingle. So I took an old keychain bauble and put it on his collar and he was so happy I thought he’d leap
