Howdee!   My name is Ryan Clouse and I’m so happy you discovered my site.  I’m an an*lyst living in the Midwest with an extremely nerdy love for all things Excel.  I graduated from college thinking everything I learned in my one Microsoft Office clas* made me an expert in how to use a spreadsheet.  Wow, was I wrong!  My first day in the post college workforce I got handed my first Excel tool developed by a real Excel pro (we’ll call him Dave).  It absolutely blew me away with how much someone could accomplish with a spreadsheet.  I quickly made friends with Dave and tried to learn as much as I could from him.  Dave was, as I would soon learn about everyone in this community, extremely open and patient with someone who didn’t even know how to use the format painter at that time.  Fast forward five years later, and I’ve been called everything from an “Excel Ninja” to simply “The Creator” by my The help I received from folks out there willing to share their knowledge was central to my success, not only in learning Excel, but also in my career.  Now I feel like it’s my turn to start giving back to the community that has given me so much over the years.  In founding this website, I have one goal…to have the same impact on someone that Dave had on me. I want someone else to get a coworker of the month award for being an Excel Ninja.  In order for that to happen, learn the following five things: tells you research isn’t a skill is either lying to you or has spent the last two decades on an island without access to Google.  Being able to do even basic research will put you way ahead of your peers.
