Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to maintain this book which is growing increasingly out of date (esp. with the upcoming Elasticsearch 2.0). I highly recommend checking out Elasticsearch, the Definitive Guide This book is the guide to Elasticsearch that I wanted to read when I was just getting my feet wet. The resources here are meant to provide Elasticsearch tutorials and guides suitable for beginners and intermediate users alike, surveying the topics needed to become proficient in Elasticsearch. Care has been taken to cover only those topics that are most relevant and commonly used as the full Elasticsearch API is both too large and too tedious to make for good reading. I’ve found Elasticsearch to be one of the most versatile and elegant worth visiting if you’re a fan of functional languages and griping.
