raising two little boys while trying to stay connected to my husband my family is in the midst of chaos. if you’ve read my other posts, we are still struggling with a 10 month old who won’t sleep through the night and a 3 year old with a sudden fear of being alone. long story short, both boys are up 1-2 times at night, meaning 2-4 times this has been hard for me. i get upset and frustrated so easily with two little ones. my 3 year old is still going through the terrible twos and tantrums and started waking throughout the night.  my 10 month old has been teething and nursing and still not sleeping through  communication comes easy for me but is hard for my husband. over the years, i have learned a few things that help us with communication. it’s a work in progress and we have come a long way from where we began. here are some things that work for us… ask yes and no getting your toddler to put on their jacket if you have a toddler then you have probably experienced the difficulty of getting them to wear a jacket! my son used to hate wearing a jacket and he sometimes still does. a few things have worked for us in getting him to wear a jacket our second date in almost a year! when my parents offered to babysit so we could have a lunch date, i was so excited! then i started to. how to get your toddler to wash their hands with as little fuss as possible. how to get your toddler to wash his hands if your toddler is anything like mine, washing hands can become a daily fight.  my little guy loves water. he loves baths. he loves the pool. he hates washing his hands.  these are some things that have worked for us.  after he is liking your husband through the hard times with your kids i don’t think that i have slept well in over a year. my almost 10 month old hasn’t slept through the night yet. my 3 year old used to sleep well but is now almost 2 weeks into waking up 1-3 times at night screaming. watch what you say around your children, chances are they will be repeating it.
