FEMINIZM! DO NOT FINE     In 2018, we celebrate the centenary of women's electoral rights in Poland. This anniversary is part of the wider context of the 100th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland and resembles the complex legacy of the renewed Polish Republic, such as the proclamation of workers' rights by the first popular government and multiculturalism of the new state. At the same time, it does not allow us to forget about conflicts with neighboring countries, about the coagulation of nationalist ideology, which became the victim of the first President of the Second Polish Republic, Gabriel Narutowicz, and whose next words were the brutal polonization of the Chełm area and the Benchen ghetto.     The beginnings of Poland's twentieth century independence may be a reason to celebrate, and should prompt critical reflection on history and even more on contemporary times. Radicalization of behavior in public space, increasing hate speech, openly xenophobic and racist rhetoric used in the local election campaign with the approval of the prominent policies of the ruling party, chauvinistic and homophobic statements of high state officials, demand strong opposition and resistance. The history of Polish independence shows how easily fascism rhetoric becomes a fuel for the fascism of social life.     Fortunately, the activity of groups actively opposed to this process is also growing. These are the protesting movements against the devastation of the law, the destruction of universities, and the rights of women and minority groups. They are activists who oppose fascist marches, defend human rights and protect nature. They are intellectuals who talk about the reliability of science and try to critically yze the surrounding reality. They are people of culture, who shape their social imagination with their creativity, opening it to the multiplicity and diversity of the world, and phenomena not perceived in the main stream of the debate. These are the voters who rejected the language of fear and contempt in the last local elections, choosing candidates who openly declare openness and condemn fascism. Today, the challenge is to mobilize all progressive forces, to build an alternative to the right-wing image of Poland and the world, and a political project capable of realizing this alternative.     What role can culture play in these processes? What is the political nature of art today and its commitment to combating fascism and creating a progressive vision? Is not it a time when instead of asking politicians what they can do for culture, we should think about what culture and art do and can do for politics understood as concern and the issue of what is common? Is it not the time to ask the question, what is the responsibility of people of culture, artists and artists, cultural and art institutions as a reality not only in a cultural but also social and political dimension?     Our response to the threat of fascism is the postulate of feminization. Feminization understood as a complete change in the rules in force in social, economic and political life; as a departure from the hierarchy, violence structures and patriarchal language, dominating in all types of social relations. We will develop this idea, which is an attempt to real answer to fascism, during the next Forum of the Future of Culture, in the place of reflection on the meaning and perspectives of the development of culture in contemporary Poland. From this perspective, we will look at issues related to workers' rights, changes in cultural institutions, ecology, the shaping of a new political language, the threat of fascism and the transformation of political subjectivity.     The Forum is attended by artists and artists, representatives of the world of science, activists and social activists, participants of protest movements. We believe that only by combining different environments can we think about a comprehensive, open and socially shared vision that includes the multiplicity and diversity of experiences, practices, and tastes; based on humanistic values, founded on respect for the dignity of the person, human rights and respect for the environment. A vision that would be a definite answer to the threat of radicalization and fascism threatening us.

Forum Przyszłości Kultury is a space for reflection on the meaning and perspectives of the development of culture in contemporary Poland. At a time when institutions are being destroyed, freedom of speech is restricted, and the public sphere subjected to censorship urges, a new vision of culture is needed to promote critical attitudes, diversity, openness, empathy for otherness and respect for the rights of excluded groups.  The Forum of the Future of Culture program will be filled with meetings with the participation of artists, intellectuals and social activists, presentations of civic projects, debates, performances, demonstrations of gr roots cultural initiatives and artistic and animation activities. We combine various participants in cultural and civic life, believing that their actions address key issues for the development of democracy, which in the area of ​​official policy have been pushed to the margins for years.

The Universal Theater in Warsaw is an urban public institution with a rich history, conducting cultural activities in many fields. Its headquarters are located in Warsaw's Praga district. Universal was the first open theater in the capital after World War II. For over 70 years, it has been a place of lively dialogue of contemporary times and traditions. The motto of the Theater is the sentence of his patron, Zygmunt Hbner: Theater, which intervenes. These words constitute a living idea defining the space of artistic and educational activities. The theater refers to its best traditions and through various theatrical forms, using the works of contemporary and creative reinterpretations of the cl ics, trying to lead the viewers to a discussion on hot, sometimes difficult subjects.  Apart from the prime minister, prepared by important contemporary revisions, the Universal Theater is a place open to broadly understood animation activities, workshops, series of debates, lectures, concerts and exhibitions. An important element of our activity are also social and local initiatives, such as the Ogrd Powszechny Theater, organized periodically Open Ząbkowska Festival and the Happy City Festival of Art and Community, implemented thanks to cooperation with social organizations, as well as the international Atlas of Transitions project.
