                                                      Mid-Atlantic Fossil and Nature Adventures Whether you are a serious fossil collector and nature explorer, a novice wishing to explore and discover the wonders of the earth, or a family with children who want to learn and find their own fossils, minerals or explore nature together, you should join us on a I began organizing fossil collecting, mineral collecting, canoe trips, birding trips, frog walks, reptile walks, etc., while I was Director of Membership at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. When I left “the Academy”, I decided to start my own trip business, using experts as our leaders. We do trips almost every weekend between March and November. Our trips are in PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, VA, NC, FL, AL and KY. I’ve always had a pas*ion for nature, and know that the best way to learn about nature is to be outside and actually explore the natural world. When I find fossils, it always astounds me to think that I’m the 1st person ever to find whatever it is I found, and to think that it was alive many millions or hundreds of millions of years ago! We will go to fossil and mineral sites where you will be sure to find at least some fossils or minerals – sometimes even museum quality fossils. We usually collect fossils along river banks or along beaches, many times covering large areas by motorboats. Our team and I will help teach you techniques for finding fossils, as well as how to identify them.
