the freshwater alliance is the only initiative in canada working to unite freshwater defenders across the country and build a freshwater. together with freshwater champions like you, we’ve worked hard and accomplished a lot this year. we organized with four lake erie guardians to raise awareness and inspire thousands during the adventurous and harrowing 24-hour lost protections for lakes, rivers and streams across canada. we supported local organizations across the country to advance green infrastructure threats like climate change; pollution from plastics, industry, agriculture and urbanization; and water overuse are putting pressure on our waters and the dedicated champions across the country who are stepping up to protect them.. now more than ever, we need leadership to defend against key freshwater threats. that’s why, for the first time ever, we’re launching an end-of-year giving campaign. with your support, we will be able to better lead key freshwater campaigns across the country and support local champions in communities from coast to coast to coast to defend their local lakes, rivers and streams. we know you love our shared waters as much as we do. we know that you want healthy and thriving waters for generations to come.. together, we can lift up the champions who are defending our shared waters for current and future generations. the canadian freshwater alliance (cfa) as*ists canada’s diverse non-profit water community to secure healthy, thriving waters from coast to coast to coast. founded on the notion that people and the environment have the right to healthy waters, the alliance is working to unite, train and mobilize diverse water stewards big and small, near and far.
