friends of trees inspires people to improve the world around them through a simple solution: you can do something! learn about the ways you can volunteer. celebrate life events and honor loved ones with a gift tree. winter crew leader training! 338 w 11th ave, eugene, or 97401, usa anyone is welcome to attend (including past cl's!). please sign up here as a leader in one of our most important volunteer roles, you will help teach our volunteers how to plant trees and work together as a team. not only is being a crew leader a great way to meet people and develop valuable leadership skills, but you get to learn how to plant we will keep this training short (1.5 hrs max)! we will go over proper planting techniques, safety protocols, and how to lead a team of volunteers on planting day. you will also receive a coveted tree team t-shirt (if you haven't already) and great food (a hallmark of all of that need leaders to help guide volunteers on planting day! this training will be on thursday, january 10th from 6-7:30pm. remember, registration thanks for your interest in being a leader for community tree-planting -- we look forward to working with you! email [email protected] or call 541-632-3683 if you have any questions. central vancouver neighborhood planting (vancouver, wa) st. joseph catholic church, 400 s andresen rd, vancouver, wa 98661, due to popular interest, this planting is now full and closed for volunteers.  please consider our biggest vancouver planting of the year in the westside neighborhoods on sat, feb 9th instead! for planting in their new homes across these neighborhoods, and your help is what makes this community planting possible! please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and enjoy some breakfast snacks and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. the planting starts promptly at 9:00am. we provide gloves, tools, and guidance, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes or boots – and be ready to have fun!  our neighborhood volunteers with also provide a potluck lunch for all volunteers after the planting is complete.
