The Greencastle Housing Authority was formed by a resolution of the Common Counsel of the City of Greencastle, Indiana in September of 1980 in accordance with the Federal and State law. In 2014, it became the PUTNAM COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY. The Authority is controlled by a Board of seven Commissioners who are appointed to four year terms by the Mayor of the City of Greencastle. One Commissioner must be a consumer. The Board of Commissioners employs an Executive Director to oversee and conduct Housing Authority business.
