Helen Dewhurst: I decided that it was important for my future career and for my ongoing success to build in a bit more expertise. James Gallo: It’s furthered me and allowed me to take on new responsibilities within the workplace. George Chiesa: I was in a cohort of 900 people from all over the world. Helen Dewhurst: I decided to sign up to a short course because I didn’t know whether I could commit to studying whilst doing full James Gallo: So being online meant that I was allowed to manage my own time. I could work remotely and I could work within my own hours. So whether that was early in the morning before work, or late at night when I was back home after other activities. Hamish Clarke: I was highly engaged, and I really enjoyed the interaction with the fellow students, as well as the tutors. George Chiesa: You have mentors, you have coaches, you have professors. Helen Dewhurst: I really enjoyed the videos because I learn from people, so I think that also gave the sense that you weren’t on an online e-course. It was, uhm, it really felt like you were engaging with the instructors. James Gallo: Online Campus was a great interface, it was clear and concise. Everything that you needed to do was there for you, easily accessible, and you never felt like you were worried that you’d miss something. George Chiesa: It was an extremely challenging experience, and because it was challenging I learned a lot. Hamish Clarke: Uhm also just made me more confident about who I am as an individual. George Chiesa: It allows you to read the papers and understand things differently. It allows you to read Harvard Business Review and understand it differently. It allows you go online and follow people and tweet and understand what the hell they’re talking about. James Gallo: If I had any advice for you on taking an online course, invest time online to get the full benefit of the course. Helen Dewhurst: So, I found the course really interesting.
