The two-day GFBR meeting took place in Ba*gkok on 28-29 November 2017 on the theme of “the ethics of alternative clinical trial designs and methods in LMIC research. The presentations and case studies are now available. The videos will be available soon. Proceedings from the 2016 GFBR meeting on the'ethics of research in pregnancy' have been published in BMC Reproductive Health. The GFBR is an informal partnership established by a number of organizations with a shared interest in the ethics of conducting research, particularly involving people in low- and middle-income countries. who applied to attend this year’s meeting on the theme “the ethics of data sharing and biobanking in health research”. It renewed its emphasis on providing a platform for individuals from low- and middle-income countries to bring forward ethical issues affecting their research practice for discussion and to help find ways forward.
