The year 2018 marks the 28th anniversary in politics for Giorgio Mammoliti. With a voluminous political career, Giorgio Mammoliti has represented Ward 7 – York West for the last 25 years in two different levels of government, serving as MPP in the Legislative As*embly of Ontario a Toronto City Councillor and a recent graduate from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Business Directorship Prior to his election as Ward 7 Councillor, Giorgio represented York West as MPP from 1990 to 1995. Being elected to the Legislative As*embly of Ontario at the age of 28, Giorgio Mammoliti was appointed to serve a number of Parliamentary As*istant positions, including Parliamentary As*istant to the Solicitor General and Minister of Correctional Services, Parliamentary As*istant to the Minister of Health and Parlimentary As*istant to the Minister responsible for the Provincial Anti-drug Strategy. Throughout his extensive career serving as Toronto City Councillor for Ward 7 – York West, Giorgio Mammoliti has held a number of positions spanning across a variety of committees ranging from serving as a member of the Mayor’s Executive Committee, serving as former Chair of the Community Development & Recreation committee, serving as Chair of the Toronto Zoo Board, serving on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), serving as Chair of the City’s International Committee and serving as Co-Chair of Canada Municipalities Housing He has most notably served as Chair of the Affordable Housing Committee. As former Chair of the Affordable Housing Committee, his commitment to safe and affordable housing was illustrated by his work on the Housing Opportunities Toronto (HOT) Action Plan 2010-2020, which was authored by Giorgio and adopted by Council on August 5, 2009.
