I just wanted to share a little bit of information on myself and let yall get to know me a bit better. I was born in Bedford and was raised in the DFW metroplex all my life. I graduated from Haltom High School in 2016, and came to WT later that year. I have been here for all of my college education, and I will receive my degree in Music Education with Instrumental Emphasis. This degree allows me to be able to teach all grade levels, so I can decide for myself what age group I will best teach in. I play the flute, and I love playing French music. The sounds and melodies are so beautiful and has a unique sound that the French like to make. I would love to work at the high school level so I can help aim the students in the right spots for their playing and musicianship. Perhaps in the process, let them see that they have a Music allows people an escape from reality. Scientifically, music has been proven to help the brain grow due the vast multitasking one must do to play, sing, and direct. Music is essential to the development of the mind. I want to be able to introduce this to students as they begin to figure themselves out and learn who they are as a person.
