HARVARD NATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS FEBRUARY 14TH - 17TH, 2019. As we embark upon this journey toward the 65th session of Harvard National Model United Nations, it is my distinct honor and pleasure to invite you to join us. Hosted from Thursday, 14 February to Sunday, 17 February 2019 at the historic Park Plaza Hotel in downtown Boston, HNMUN is a forum for delegates and advisors alike to come together and discuss many of the world’s most pressing issues in a truly meaningful way. With over 3000 delegates hailing from 80 countries and a staff of over 230 Harvard undergraduates, HNMUN remains the oldest, largest, and most prestigious collegiate Model United Nations conference globally, and we look forward to continuing our legacy of substantive excellence and empowerment at our 65th session. This year’s conference will feature twenty-five carefully crafted committees, including a Joint-Crisis Committee, an entirely Spanish-speaking committee, our renowned Press Corps and Non-Governmental Organizations Programme, and a realistic interaction between one of our General As*embly committees and the United Nations Security Council. Yet, it is perhaps the conversations and time spent outside of committee that most define the HNMUN experience.
