Halter Type These are relatively larger than the stock type AQH, possess heavily-muscled features that give them a handsome specialized look having small heads, broader jowls, and fine muzzles. The American Saddlebred is one of the most famous and successful native horses of the United States. 'Denmark' was a Saddlebred stallion – who is considered by many people as the ancestor to many other modern-day Saddlebreds – served as the carrier of General Hunt Morgan in the Civil War.
