EXPERIENCE A GREAT HOTEL BY DAY WITHOUT PAYING FOR THE NIGHT STAY. Convenience right away: A quiet place to work & meet during the day. Day stays are a genius solution to a myriad of travel-related issues. We had an unexpected venture and this site was very helpful! We chose an average rated place to rest while on the trip and it was.. It could have been better. We checked in on time, in the room for about an hour. They just had a water line in the laundry room bust. The front desk called our room phone and asked if we would mind changing rooms. Being understanding, we packed our things and went to change keys. The same gi*l who had greeted us in an hour before and had called our room stared at me and said oh are you checking out already? I had repeated the information as nicely as I could that she had called us to change rooms due to a water issue. we waited an hour before getting another room. And by the time checkout had rolled around there was still no hot water for shower or flushing of the toilets. I did ask to speak to somebody else and we were refunded and apologized to at the very end for the inconveniences. We had a 14-hour layover in Miami (on our way home from South America) and booked the Homewood Suites - Blue Lagoon for the day. The free shuttle picked us up from the airport at 7:30 am. We were earlier than the 10 am check-in but were able to eat the included free breakfast til our room was ready. (They had a room come available at 9 am and allowed us to check in then.) We napped, relaxed, showered and could enjoy the complementary 'happy hour' as well before catching a free shuttle back to the airport at 6 pm. We had several hours btwn check-out of our Airbnb and flight home. We got a great room at the last minute where we could rest, use the
