finding money for your project is the biggest challenge for indie greens which is why i created this funding cheatsheet. it provides a. list of funding sources gathered from 25 years of personal experience and from interviewing dozens of indie greens for their strategies. click the bu*ton below to do*nload your free funding cheatsheet complete the form below for your funding cheatsheet do*nload… i’ll start with the green bit. a green is anyone working to make sure we have a healthy planet for ourselves and to leave to our descendants. they are people who want to make a difference, who want to work towards halting environmental decline and towards enhancement and improvement. this could be anyone working in sustainability or the environmental sector including consultants, environmentalists, conservationists, ecologists, rangers, recyclers, campaigners, gras*roots activists, economists, fundraisers and cartoonists. the list is endless; there are so many ways to do something positive for the world. so i use the catch-all phrase of green. the indie bit refers to people who want to do something for themselves. it’s a state of mind as well as a job description. indie greens are people who want to set up their own projects in their own ways. this can be as a solo freelancer or consultant, or they might want to set up a charity, social enterprise or business. they are independent workers, who want to take the lead on the work they do and the world needs people who are willing to try out new ideas and new ways of doing things, people who are willing to try stuff out for themselves, who have a pas*ion and want to get active, not wait around for somebody else to come up with solutions. anyone can become an indie green, that’s the beauty of it. it’s down to you to take the initiative. you don’t have to convince an employer that you’re a great fit; you can get out and start making changes right away. this is true whether you’re a young person just out of school or university looking for your first job or whether you are mid-career
