hey guys i know i have been gone for a while, and i will continue to be pretty sporadic on posting but i have missed this space so much! we this is the second cookie exchange i have done with food blogger love and it is always great. since i haven’t been blogging for the last few months but i couldn’t think of a november without sending and receiving delicious cookies. so i decided that i wanted to send a hey guys! i have not been on here as much as i had planned for the summer. for good reason though, life got busy fast. i started my master program end of may and was busy working on clas*work and readings. then the second week of june i applied for, interviewed, and who doesn’t love a good sorbet? the smooth texture, the tartness of the fresh fruit, and the sweetness from plenty of good sugar.  this sorbet recipe is adapted from the one that my in-laws made a couple years ago for fourth of july. it tastes great but my favorite thing is a couple weeks ago i went with my parents to new york to see my sister graduate from vas*ar college, it was my mom’s and my first time to go so we made it a week trip. we had a lot of fun exploring poughkeepsie, new mi*ford connecticut, new york city and hyde park. it’s summertime which means it’s time to start the grill.  i have collected some of my favorite grilling recipes. my favorite lately has been pork chops with roasted sweet potatoes. my next goal is to try grilled sweet potatoes it sounds messy but i’ve seen it work sometimes on a hot evening, all i want to do is relax with a nice cold drink in my hand. i am not a big alcohol drinker but from time to welcome to my garden series. i will be sharing growing tips and ways to use home grown herbs and some veggies. my wonderful in-laws gave me a couple of herb plants to start my herb garden. i have wanted to start a kitchen garden for a while now but just hadn’t started yet. happy may! in just a few short days it will be cinco de mayo. i can’t think of anyone who does not enjoy mexican food of some sort.
