Iteko Special School is a school of special people under section 21 entity that started on the 2nd of September 1986. The school is created to provide education to learners with special needs. Presently, about 506 learners are enrolled at the school. The nature of the intellectual disability range from mild, moderate and severe. The 35 educators and principal employed constitute a management team responsible for the day to day running of the school. Our school is designed in such a way that equips learners to cope with difficult life challenges or crisis. Iteko Special School has a unique curriculum to enable educators to provide a skill-based education to co-operation, moral values, and ethical principles that are conducive to learning. To qualify for admission, a learner has to be 8 to 15 years of age, the exit age is 18 years. The learner should go through FIVE steps to Visit the school or department of education offices to collect referral form or you can click the image below to do*nload. The referral form is then taken to the Inclusive Education division for as*essment. Once as*essment is done the Inclusive education division allocates LSEN number to the learner. The learner will then come to complete admission form at our school.
