My research uses insights from social psychology to understand and improve the health of stigmatized groups (e.g., higher body weight individuals, racial and se*ual minorities). I often examine the consequences of stigma through the theoretical lens of social experience sampling, daily diary designs, and theory-driven an*lyses of large population health datasets. I take a diverse approach to health as*essment, including outcomes such as physiological indicators of stress (e.g., cardiovascular reactivity), health behaviors (e.g., eating), psychological health (e.g., depression), and social well-being (e.g., loneliness).  I completed my Ph.D. (2017) in Psychological and Brain Sciences at UCSB working with Dr. Brenda Major in the Self and Social Identity October 2018: I was awarded the 2018 Seymour Fisher Outstanding Body Image Dissertation Award!
