you will find a variety of paintings, from big bold flowers, intuitive abstracts, impressionistic landscapes, to sas*y ladies with attitude. journal pages are also available as paintings. just let me know on the contact form any changes you would like.(size, color, journal pages). > i dream of painting and then i paint my dream — vincent van gogh. please come on in to my shop to have a pleasant experience.. find big bold flowers, sas*y ladies, landscapes, and abstracts. hi! my name is janis and this is my fur baby snowy. i am an artist, teacher, wife to a wonderful and supportive husband alan, and a mom to 2 beautiful children craig and julie. both children display my art around their homes which thrills me beyond belief. these displays are better known as “the margolis museum.” i love my family with all my heart. they are the best, most supportive people i know. in my former life i was an elementary school teacher. before i retired, i was told that i needed to have a plan, or else i would be very bored. so i decided to try my hand at painting. when i first started, i was repeatedly told that if i could not draw, then i would have difficulty painting. well, i proved these people wrong. with a lot of trial and error, from making a grid on the canvas and transferring the image inch by inch onto the canvas, to copying the works of the great masters, like the one i painted above,i finally now you can see me painting openly and freely with anything from plastic produce bags to spaghetti. this is such a thrill because these are “my” creations. yes, i am inspired my many online teachers, but in the end, the art is mine. painting really does transport me to another dimension. when i am painting, everything fades into the background. if you have any questions, feel free to fill our the form below. please use this contact form to add comments on my work, ask questions about my work, suggestions you have for work you would like to see.
