Prior to opening Kwong Von Glinow in 2017, Alison’s prior work includes collaborations with Herzog & de Meuron in Basel, Switzerland, SOM in both Chicago and New York, Toshiko Mori Architect in New York, and Svendborg Architects in Copenhagen, Denmark. Alison is a selected 2017-2018 Forefront Fellow with New York’s Urban Design Forum. Working with key leaders in housing, Alison is developing an holistic design approach to the creation and delivery of co-living housing units with her cohort. Alison is a Chicago native. Alison earned her Masters of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. She is a Board Member of the Chicago Architectural Club and a Part-Time Professor of Architecture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. With over seven years of professional practice, Lap Chi has spent his time designing internationally acclaimed projects at Pritzker-Prize winning offices of Herzog & de Meuron and Am*teur Architecture Studio, including: the M+ Museum in Hong Kong, the Vancouver Art Gallery, the K Residence & Gallery, and the N Residence both in California. His work in single-family and multi-family residential design as well as cultural design has empowered him with the knowledge of working on both small and large-scale projects. Lap Chi grew up in Hong Kong before moving to Seattle for his undergraduate education. He earned his Masters of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Lap Chi is a Board Member of the Chicago Architectural Club and a Part-Time Professor of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Our practice has selectively chosen to merge the design values our principals have learned during their time at Pritzker-prize winning architects Herzog & de Meuron with that at Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill, curating what we believe to be values that create the top 20 emerging architecture practices in the world.
