WORDREADY® is an online interactive multimedia vocabulary learning application. It is an effective and non-threatening way to learn and practise English vocabulary. It works at the learner's own pace and provided a personalised learning experience. Based on the latest language learning research, we have designed it to meet the needs of both learners and teachers. Each learner has their own username and can access WORDREADY from any location (e.g. from home, school, college, work or on the move) using any modern browser (e.g. Firefox). WORDREADY tracks their learning and adapts to how the learner is performing to provide personalised vocabulary practice. It is simple to set up and very low maintenance. WORDREADY knows how many words learners have met, when they last worked with each word, and how well they know them. Each time a learner uses WORDREADY, it selects the most appropriate set of words for that particular learner at that point in time. It then creates a series of interactive multimedia exercises for them to learn and practise the words. WORDREADY could select new words to be introduced for the first time, or revisit previously met words to consolidate and extend their learning.
