IN BULGARIA LACK LEGISLATION OF THE VEHICLES. There is no normative act in Bulgaria regulating the obligations of aquapark operators and water slides. This warning was made by our lawyers after the fatal case of last month, when a Bulgarian child died in a Turkish aquapark. Despite the calls from parents, neither in the media nor in the bodies entitled to legislate, the possibility of introducing a regulatory framework clearly identifying the duties of the persons managing the amusement facilities concerned was discussed. The issue of safety is traditionally neglected in our country - both by consumers and by government. The only applicable norm, which partially defines some rules in this regard, is ORDINANCE No V-12-707 of 15 November 2013 on the conditions and order for the structure, safety and technical requirements of the facilities placed in amusement facilities.
