november 7, 2018--- wednesday – ½ day early release – professional development. november 12, 2018--- monday - no school – veteran’s day. november 21, 2018--- wednesday - early dismissal - thanksgiving recess. november 22, 2018--- thursday - no school - thanksgiving day november 23, 2018--- friday - no school - thanksgiving recess. december 5, 2018--- wednesday - ½ day early release – parent conferences. december 21, 2018--- friday - early dismissal – holiday break. january 9, 2019--- wednesday - ½ day early release - professional development. every day, lccps serves 800 children from across lowell in ways that help them become better thinkers, stronger leaders, and proud community members. join us as we work to improve their lives and our city by donating to lccps. lccps is very grateful for all of your donations on each theme day. the money we raise goes to each grade to be able to participate in field trips and grade functions. soon we will update you with information regarding our school wide field trips and show some fantastic pictures of our students imaginative theme day outfits… stay tuned! the graph above shows the total amount that has been raised for each theme day. the graph below shows how close we are to reaching our school wide goal. meeting agendas are posted on the school website 2 days prior to the meetings grade 5 alps students, as part of a math project, are hoping to create a major revision to the published apple 2e 1985 software program titled “clas*ifying an*mals with backbones.” this program was inspired from students clas*ifying insects using basic with no graphics in 1983. the students are taking on various publishing roles that support the leader in me concept. the software programming is scratch which was developed at mit. this website was designed and written by the alps publishing company’s marketing department. it special thanks are given to mr. leonardos for green lighting the project, carey reeve for her support of trying new ideas, mr. portnoy
