LISOT is a completely open and inclusive team with sailors from all around LI Sound and the NY Metro area. Any aspiring sailor who has completed an advanced racing program and wants to improve his or her racing skills are welcome to sail with us in a positive and fun environment. Our proven success for over 15 years in the Optimist clas*; 7 years in the I420 and C420 clas*es, and 5 years in the Laser and provides coaching at most major US youth regattas and select international events. as you like. There’s nothing to join, no membership to apply for, no upfront costs. If you’re an Opti or laser sailor or 420 skipper, you’ll need your own boat. LISOT charges only a per-event fee, per sailor, at the end of each day or event which is collected by a parent volunteer. The cost is shown in each event description on the calendar.
