Welcome to the Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board (BSCB) website. The Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board has a statutory duty to co-ordinate how agencies work together to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and young people in Birmingham and to ensure the effectiveness of the safeguarding arrangements.  Penny Thompson CBE, the BSCB Independent Chair oversees a Board which is made up of senior representatives from the key statutory and voluntary organisations that have responsibility for delivering services to children or have regular contact with children. BSCB CAMPAIGN - ‘KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE IS EVERYBODY’S BUSINESS’. The Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board have launched a public awareness campaign ‘Keeping Children Safe is Everybody’s Business’ in response to key learning that has emerged from a number of Serious Case Reviews.  The aim is to raise community awareness of what to do if you are worried about a child and most importantly to encourage members of the public to call Birmingham City Council’s Children’s Advice & Support Service to report their concerns, so action can be taken to safeguard and protect the child.   To find.
