server is getting slammed today due to a couple of links on reddit… i know lots of people use timerresolution their ways and have now unblocked the users wrongly blocked. good job valve.. youtu*e video – crysis 3 – 30% framerate and performance boost using timerresolution. i read the book underground back when it was released in 1997. back then no one had heard of julian as*ange and wikileaks didn’t even it was just a geeky book about the subculture of australian hackers, i don’t think i could have convinced anyone to read it back then even though it was a good book. now channel ten have made it into a telemovie, i guess when you are a new movie is out, you might have heard of it, the hunger games. yes lots of hype for yet again another movie based on a successful series of books. joyfully this time there are only 3 books in the series. the big question is do i read the books before watching the movie? although we live in one of the most expensive countries when it comes to buying books we do have some amazing authors and since today is australia day i thought i’d list some of the best. luckily also today with the internet and sites like fishpond i thought i’d best check the power consumption since saving power was part of the justification for the purchase. the old tv was a 3rd generation plasma (from 2005) and the new one is lcd led so it will use less power, right? i’ve already posted about the smart power board we purchased in no more vampire devices why would i think this could be possible, well since we swapped tvs around i have had to manually activate the power board as the ir sensor is still attached to the old tv. each time i’ve noticed that the power board is warm, this means that it is consuming a significant the power board, old tv, wii, and ps3 in standby consumed 7 watts the power board, new tv, wii, and ps3 in standby consumed 4.5 watts i measured the new tv by itself, it didn’t even register a reading! that means that my based on my power meter it consumes less than a
