august 20, 2018 – welcome back! a note from lta president, debbie diaz. welcome back! i hope you have all had a restful break. i truly believe the 2018-19 academic year will be an incredibly revitalizing, exciting, and pivotal year for lynwood teachers as*ociation. the executive board is off to a running start this year with their. april 20, 2018 – national day of action against gun violence in schools. we wanted to give you an update on the planning that has been taking place in response to the gun violence that has become all too common in our schools and on our campuses.  from lakefront to marshall county to sandy hook and virginia tech, these acts of violence have on monday, february 26, 2018, the u.s. supreme court will hear the oral arguments in the jan*s v. american federation of state, county, and municipal employees council. at stake are the “fair share” fees that public sector unions charge non-members who benefit from the. thanksgiving message from lta president – november 20, 2017. congratulations on completing the first quarter of the academic year, and on making headway into the second. as educators in lynwood, we face many challenges, and at times it may be difficult to feel gratitude. although we navigate through hardships daily, i believe lta members have numerous reasons to be appreciative and thankful. read more >> please read our recent post “know your rights – health & welfare benefits” read more >>
