we hope everyone is ready for the unofficial start of summer!  this weekend is a busy one around the madison area; here is a short free disc golf day at all city and county parks mad city disc golf will be holding  learn to disc golf clinic hosted by nic lelm hiestand dgc on may 27th 10am to 11:30am saturday may 27th & sunday may 28th midwest masters is being held in watertown at rock river dgc spectators are welcome & a putting challenge will be open to the public featuring throw with a pro family clinic & demonstrations from the pros saturday may 27th & 28th disc golf, brats, beer & live music mad city is honored to be a part of brat fest for a 2nd year temporary 6 hole course open to the public 10am to 6pm (sunday & have a safe weekend & we hope to see you out at these events!.       a special thanks to dane county parks for sponsoring this event! many people have noticed that this website is not updated very often anymore.  we encourage you to visit our facebook page of facebook, but it is the best tool we have right now and the one most likely to be used by our active board members.  this website may not be permanently shut down anytime soon, but we do not anticipate updating it very much in the near future.  again, our facebook page. pdga am*teur and junior disc golf world championships, july 9-16, 2016. am worlds activities officially start in one week! this means that will be a large number of out-of-town visitors starting to come in to practice, and the courses are going to get more crowded. this also means that the courses will be closed to public play during the the following courses are being used for am worlds: elver and hiestand (madison) capital springs and vallarta-ast @ token creek (dane co) bird's ruins (marshall) the first closures will be next saturday, july 9th, for hiestand and vallarta-ast (token creek), where the junior and mixed doubles events will take place. the other three courses will likely be very crowded.
