The First: That young 5 year old me wouldn’t be proud of me. I have done so many terrible things to the body we both share and she would be so disappointed in me. I have harmed this body intentionally and I have given up so many times, young me would never have wanted that. Young me had light in their eyes and told the truth no matter what it was but now I lie through my teeth and my eyes are dull and empty. I would never be able to tell young me to “Look forward to the future” because they would be so disappointed. I’m sorry past me. I can’t remember my old cat, I can’t remember my grandparent’s old house that I loved so much and most importantly, I can’t remember my dead friend. I still know who they are and what they are it’s just that I don’t remember what they look like or sound like at all. The memories you replay the most are the ones that become the most disfigured. Every time you remember something you slowly forget more of it. I will end up forgetting my grandparents, my friends and probably my parents and I don’t want that but it’s going to happen no matter what and it makes me sad. I want to remember the good times I had in that house of my grandparents and I want to remember how warm that cat was and how safe they made me feel but most of all I want to remember my friend. I’m not even sure which memories are real and
