The SDGs are interlinked in complex ways. There are multiple synergies and trade-offs between the 17 Goals. Translating the Goals to coherent actionable strategies is a daunting but not impossible task. Watch this video to see how Millennium Institute’s unique approach helps to overcome this challenge. On November 1, MI presented the new web-based version of the iSDG®  Model to Heads of Permanent Missions and permanent observer offices to the United Nations at the Palais de Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. The SDG Architect™ board game was also launched during the event. The Millennium Institute is pleased to announce our free course System Dynamics-based Development Planning, organized in partnership with the University of Bergen, Norway.  The course emphasizes the importance of developing a holistic view of national development planning, and of cross-sectoral policy coherence to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is targeted at development professionals who are responsible for developing policies and programs aimed at meeting the SDGs. MI is collaborating with the UN Economic Commission for Africa in the process developing a revised of United Nations Integrated Strategy for the Sahel (UNISS) that is consistent with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the African Union’s Agenda 2063, and will  accelerate socio-economic development and progress towards the SDGs. Millennium Institute (MI) participated in a week-long United Nations organized workshop in Guinea Bissau in early October, aimed at accelerating implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) supported an integrated policy modeling training session in Senegal recently.
