personal update: what i’ve been up to (and why i haven’t been posting much) a little note to let you know that my book writing has been coming along pretty well since i’ve been having a bit of a hiatus from i’ve mostly set aside the crime novel (about 100,000 words written) which i’m keen on but find psychologically taxing (death and all!) in favour of the attempt-at-humour novel which is much easier to write and is currently at 53,000 words. this novel started out as something to amuse my friends, based on posts on my personal facebook page. but it has fictional characters instead of real ones because i can’t stand the potential angst from friends or family thinking they see themselves in it. relationships i’m having fun with my writing, most of the time. i’ve found that the only way to be productive has been to block out pretty much every other thing that used to distract me, so my time largely consists of being a hermit and playing tennis.
